The 2015 year model Corvette is already facing issues.

Is it safe to say the pipe-dream rear-engine Corvette will spontaneously combust the same way other super cars do?

About 800 Corvettes at dealer lots may have been built with only one of the two rear parking-brake cables in place and engaged. This would be repaired by technicians if needed, GM said.

Also, about 2,000 Corvettes would be held at the GM plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky because a suspect part may have been used to attach the air bag to the steering wheel, GM said.

That doesn't sound like that big of a deal. It just sounds someone in Kentucky needs to be fired for screwing up by leaving the brake pads engaged.

No, see this is why GM is fighting to recover, they need to learn how to make happy news out of sad!

New C7 Corvette, now with peg leg peelout capability!
New C7 Corvette, because nobody likes explosions in the face!

It's all about the sale! You're not lying, you're just extolling virtues the customer might not realize. (Actually had a dealership general manager tell me that during an interview.)

You've got to give it some time to sort out the kinks. But at a certain point, all of the kinks should have been sorted out.

If I were in charge of GM, I'd have about 100 cars spread out through the US before release and have them all taken to 100k and have all of the fuckups fixed by actual production.

At least they got brake pads...

Some of the first built Sonics were rolling off the line without any...

All first years (sometimes three) of a new generation Corvette have recalls. Every single one. This isn't anything new or special. At least they aren't trying to sweep anything under the rug...I hope.

I understand new models will have their issues. But even as a lifelong Chevy worshiper, I like poking fun at GM's recall circus.
